With manuscript copy for title-page, where the title is shown as ‘Eminent Victorians’. Each essay bears typed numeration of the leaves, and this is continued in manuscript beyond f. 209 of the essay on Manning to bring one sequence for the whole work. Wanting leaves 1-112 of the essay on Cardinal Manning. For the essay on General Gordon see below. Some leaves mutilated by vermin.
