O. Rev. Josiah Forshall and Sir Frederic Madden: two bonds for safe-custody and return of manuscripts; 1831, 1833. Signed. The manuscripts concerned were consulted for Forshall's and Madden's joint edition of the Wycliffite Bible They are specified as Emmanuel College, Cambridge, MS I.1.6 (cited as I.1.21 in M. R. James's Catalogue) and Trinity College, Dublin, MSS A. I. 5, A. I. 9 and A. I. 10. They were borrowed on 1 June 1831 and 1 Nov. 1833 respectively, the second bond being noticed under the appropriate date in Madden's diary (Bodleian MS Eng. hist. c. 149). Purchased from J. L. M. Gulley, March 1998.
