P. Rev. Josiah Forshall and Sir Henry Ellis: writ for their appearance in chambers; 8 July 1829. Copy. This writ requires them to produce Harley MS 6820, a copy of the Statutes of St. David's Cathedral, at Serjeants Inn on 15 July, before Sir John Hullock, Baron of the Exchequer, in connection with a suit involving William Edwardes, 2nd Baron Kensington. The citation, which describes the manuscript merely as 'a certain ancient Book preserved in the British Museum', quotes in full the text of the note on f. 3v there, which includes the signature of Richard Edwardes as Chancellor of the Diocese. Purchased from J. L. M. Gulley, March 1998.
