5. Letter to Walpole from R. Trevor, 17 Dec. 1737, en- closing a letter to Trevor from the Prince of Orange, 15 Dec., concerning an offer of a gift to George II; for further related papers see Trevor, below; 11 Dec. 1737.

6. Correspondence of Walpole with the Prince of Orange, with enclosures; and other letters, including one from Van Slingelandt, 1734, and 2 April 1743, together with a copy of Walpole to George II, concerning the former, 24 Mar. 1743; an earlier letter from Van Slingelandt to Walpole, 22 Mar. 1743, another Walpole letter to George II on the same subject and a copy of Walpole's reply, 26 Mar. 1743, endorsed by the King, are misplaced. Also misplaced in this section is " A Memorial of Several Noblemen & Gentlemen of the First Rank & Fortunes ", concerning the education of the Prince of Wales; n.d.; another copy, Add.MS 25277, f. 112, is dated 1753, and ascribed to the author Horace Walpole, nephew to Horatio; for another two copies see Add. MS 51404, ff. 176 - 177v, 178 - 179v; according to a note on the latter, the MS was finished in Dec. 1752, and sent to friends in Feb. 1753. For the Prince of Orange see Add.
