1. Letter to Walpole from Spencer Compton, later (1730) Earl of Wilmington; 11/24 Sept. 1708.
2. Letter to Sir Robert from Sir Richard Temple, camp before Douai; 25 June 1710.
3. Correspondence of Sir Robert with James Stanhope, later (1717) 1st Earl Stanhope, Lord Galloway, and others relating to the Spanish War; one letter abstract 1708 in Sir Robert's hand; together with one or two letters apparently addressed to Walpole, for instance, Cardonnel to [ Walpole ? ], 27 Nov. 1708; also enclosed are military returns and a " Journall of Part of the Campagne in Catalonia ", 14 May - 22 June [ 1710 ]; 1707 - 1710.
4. Letters to Sir Robert from Charles, 6th Duke of Somerset; 1708 - 1714.
