FORTH PAPERS. Vol. II. A Part Family Record of the Forths; late 19th cent., with later additions. Printed with MS. notes. Containing memoranda concerning the Forth family, including (ff. 8v-21v) 'A Plain State of the Facts by Nathaniel Parker Forth, Esquire', a narrative of transactions from 1789 to 1801 concerning financial dealings undertaken by Forth for the Prince of Wales and his brothers. This narrative was drawn up by Forth to bring pressure to bear on them and was printed privately in four copies in 1801. Forth himself destroyed these copies, but after his death the manuscript account was reprinted in its present form by his grandson, Col. Alfred Charles Forth, who then apparently destroyed the original; see Ward, Forth, pp. 162, 173 and 213.
