T. Petition from Margaret Fox of Foulden, co. Norf., to Sir Bassingborne Gawdy I, (d.1606), as Treasurer of the King's Bench and Marshalsea, for compensation and maintenance following the destruction of her house by fire; 9 June 1601. Endorsed by Henry Holdych, of Didlington, co. Norf., and Norfolk Justices of the Peace; 10 June 1601. Originally enclosed in a letter from Holdych to Gawdy, 22 June 1601, which is now Egerton 2722, f. 101. Lot 74a in Phillips's sale, 11 Dec. 1986. Purchased from J. L. M. Gulley, Esq., 23 Dec. 1986.
