A set of nine vocal parts, marked Boys, Sopranos I, Sopranos II, Altos I, Altos II, Tenors I, Tenors II, Basses I and Basses II. Autograph music manuscript in ink, with numerous paste-down corrections and some pencil annotations. 'A Boy Was Born' received its first public performance at the Mercury Theatre, London on 17 December 1934, in a Macnaghten-Lemare concert conducted by Iris Lemare.
