CAPEL PAPERS. Vol. IV. 'A true . . . narrative . . . of the death of the Right Honourable the Lord Capel . . . Copyed from the Original Paper of that Bishop's own writing'; late 18th cent. Copy. The present copy of an original narrative by George Morley, Bishop of Winchester, is interleaved with engraved portraits of several royalists. At the end of the volume (ff. 19-26v) is a further copy by W. P. Millington dated Nov. 1880.
Paper; ff. i+27. 225 x 180mm. 18th cent. binding of gold tooled red leather stamped in gold in the corners of the covers with interlaced letters 'S X' [Essex] surmounted by a coronet, and with doublures of purple silk.
