With some papers, partly of later date, relating to the government and mineral resources of St. Helena; including a letter to Wilks from the Comte de las Casas, n.d. (ff. 46-47v), and from the Duke of Wellington, 1822 (ff. 68-70v). At the back of the volume (ff. 76-79v) is correspondence between Sir Humphry Davy and Peter Ewart of Manchester, 1823, relating to steam power and forwarded to Wilks by Ewart.
