R.U.S.I. MAPS. Vol. LXXIV (1-3).
1-3. 'Lake Ontario & River St Lawrence from the lake to Fort William Augustus' in three pieces, taken from a French draft that was on board the prise Williamson belonging to Monsr La Broquerie' almost certainly by Paul Labrosse (cf. Add. 57710, f. 2), though Add. 57709, f. 2 is signed by William Brasier; circa 1750. Scale (of the first part) 1:152700 approx. 'A scale of 5 French leagues' (= 182mm.). The smallest section of the map, Add. 57709, f. 2, links the two larger pieces, and is the third of the pieces referred to in the notes on Add. 57709, f. 1. The only other map by La Broquerie in the Library's collections is K. Top. CXXI.14, a military map of Lake Ontario dated Oct. 1757; but see another map, of part of the St Lawrence, probably by La Broquerie, at Add. 57707, f. 3. Add. 57709, ff. 1, 3: Amherst no. C 30; R.U.S.I. nos. A 27.31A and .31B. Add. 57709, f. 2: Amherst no. A 105; R.U.S.I. no. A 28.57.
