1. 'A map of the province of New York & part of New England & New Jersey with a part of New France' based on surveys by 'Capt. Montresor'; bef. 1775. 1:506880 approx. 'A scale 8 miles to an inch'. Scale bar of 40 miles (= 5 inches). Copy, by Francis Pfister. Cf. K. Top. CXXI.1, 2, a much smaller map, about half the size of Add. 57713, f. 1. Amherst no. C 56. R.U.S.I. no. A 29.15.

4. 'Plan of the fortress and dependent forts at Crown Point with their environs and part of Lake Champlain surveyed and drawn by Wm Brasier Draughtsman to the Ch. Enginr of N. America'; 1759. 1:7200. 'A scale of feet 600 to an inch'; scale bar of 6000 feet (= 10 inches). 'Scale of yards 200 to an inch'; scale bar of 2000 yards (= 10 inches). 'Scale of 8 furlongs or 1 mile' (= 8.9 inches). Map oriented with West at top. Cf. K. Top. CXXI.51. which is very similar to the present map. Amherst no. has been completely obscured by modern backing to map. R.U.S.I. no. A 30.40.
