Preceded (ff. 1-13) by letters, 1901-1906, to Elgar from Fanny Davies, for whom the work was written, a programme for the performance at Midland Hall, Manchester in 1906, and a newspaper cutting from The Times, 2 Oct. 1942 concerning the loss of the fair copy score annotated by Fanny Davies to which the letters relate.
