At the end of the volume are some fragments of dramatic pieces, including:-(a) Act 2 of 'The Siege of St Quintin; or, Spanish Heroism', by Theodore Hook, adapted from 'Les mines de Pologne' by G. de Pixérécourt (Allardyce Nicoll, Hist. of English Drama, 1660-1900, iv, pp. 327, 589). Autograph. The play was produced at Drury Lane 10 Nov. 1808. The present MS. contains numerous alterations and comments by R. B. Sheridan (e.g., on f. 155b, 'How much this ought to be shorten'd I can't attempt to say as I have not had the enterprize to attempt to read it') and Thomas Sheridan. ff. 149-171;-(b) Act 1 of an English translation of G. de Pixérécourt, 'Le Pè@lerin blanc'; n.d. (watermark 1809). Acts 2 and 3 of another version of the same play are in Add. MS. 26027, doubtfully ascribed there to Mrs Elizabeth Inchbald. ff. 173-200.
