'The Scroggs Family': collections, illustrated with photographs, arms in colour, etc., relating to the family of Scroggs, of Patmore Hall in Albury, co. Hertf., compiled by J. Renton Dunlop, F.S.A.; cf. his article in Miscellanea Genealogica et Heraldica, 5th series, iii, 1918-1919, pp. 65-82, and The Family of Scroggs, London, privately printed, 1929. The family was connected with that of Fettiplace (cf. Add. MSS. 42763-42765 above) through the marriage of Sir William Scroggs (d. 1683), Lord Chief Justice, with Ann, daughter of Edmund Fettiplace. An index is included at ff. 216-218. Paper; ff. ii + 218. Large quarto. xx cent. Bequeathed by the compiler.
