'Kenilworth, or, Ye queen, ye earle and ye maydenne', by Andrew Halliday and Fredric Lawrance. Licence sent 23 December 1858 for performance at the Strand. Cover signed by the lessee, Miss Swanborough. LCO Day Book Add. 52703 records the stipulation that a number of lines be omitted. Includes words for songs. Published in Lacy's, vol. 38, no. 566, where it is described as a 'comic operatic extravaganza'. Burlesque of the novel 'Kenilworth' by Walter Scott, 1821. The texts vary between the MS version and the Lacy's edition;; in particular, the Lacy's edition provides extra words for songs.
