Léonie, la fausse adultère, drama in five acts and seven tableaux by Adolphe d’Ennery. Printed. French. Licence sent 24 March 1859 for performance at the St. James’s. LCO Day Book Add. 52703 records the stipulation that biblical references be omitted, that ‘Dieu’ be amended to ‘Ciel’ and that the piece be performed under the title of 'Léonie', as inserted in the licence itself. First produced at the Gaité, Paris, 29 December 1856. Not listed in Nicoll. Illustration on opening page of play. This play bound with Madame est de retour, comedie-proverbe in one act by J. Duflot and N. Desarbres, first produced at the Vaudeville, Paris, 13 November 1853.
