'The lily of Killarney', opera in three acts by John Oxenford and Dion Boucicault (for the music by Sir Julius Benedict). Licence sent 3 February 1862 for performance at Covent Garden on 10 February 1862. Signed William Harrison, the theatre manager. Contains words to songs. Cuts and additions made in ink. Based on Boucicault's hugely successful play 'The Colleen Bawn', first performed in London in August 1860; for details of this play and its hosts of imitators, see notes under Add. 52995 B.
