Drama in two acts. Licence sent 21 March 1864 for performance at the Queen's. The name C. J. James [Charles James James] noted on folio 1, together with the date of intended representation - Saturday 26 March 1864. The script is in the hand of the dramatist. LCO Day Book (Add MS 53703) notes that the title of the play was changed to 'Idleness, the root of all evil'. In Nicoll the original title is listed as author unknown, while the latter is attributed to Suter.
