Farce in three acts. Licence sent 30 April 1866 for performance at the Prince of Wales's. The name 'C. J. James' [Charles James James] noted beneath the details of the theatre on folio 1, together with the date of the play's intended performance - Saturday 5 May 1866. The name of the dramatist is not recorded on the script but Nicoll attributes the play to H. J. Byron under the title 'A hundred thousand pounds'. The play was also published by Lacy's (vol 77).
