Burlesque. Licence sent 11 December 1869 for performance at the Gaiety. Printed (n.d.). The script is in the form of a proof copy, but with the title and the name of the author noted separately by hand on folio 1. LCO Day Book (Add MS 53704) asks for a reference to a character having a temper as 'cross as Mr Babbage's' be omitted in performance, noting further that 'This is unfair towards an individual and a very learned and worthy man who is not the only person annoyed by organ grinders'.
