The majority of the correspondence relates to Jellicoe’s dismissal from the post of First Sea Lord but also includes letters concerning the possibility of cooperation with the Japanese, sea planes, the Otranto Barrage, the East Indies and Egypt, a silver model of the Iron Duke ship being made for Lady Jellicoe, the United States Navy, unrest over Navy pay, the press and two photographs of a German medal dedicated to Dudley de Chair.
