CATALOGUES of early printed books, as follows:-
1. 'A List of early printed Books in the possession of [George Augustus Herbert,] the Earl of Pembroke [at Wilton House], 1798.' The books, which are arranged alphabetically, and are only very briefly described, are 137 in number. The latest is dated A. D. 1498. f. 1.
2. List, in alphabetical order of authors, of books printed before A. D. 1500, in the Duke of Marlborough's library at Blenheim, made (according to notes by Sir F. Madden in the present MS. and in Add. MS. 11512, which contains the original slips of this catalogue) by Jacob Bryant (d. l804), private secretary to Charles Spencer, Duke of Marlborough (d. 1758) (cf. Literary Anecdotes of the xviiith century, ed. J. Nichols, 1812, vol. iv, pp. 667-672, and King's MS. 384, f. 67 b). They were included in the sale of the Sunderland or Blenheim Library in 1881. f 4.
