'CATALOGUE des Pierres gravées antiques en Creux et en Relief de la Collection de Monseigneur le Duc de Dévonshire [William Cavendish, 4th Duke, d. 1764] dresse par L[aurent] Natter, graveur en pierres fines et médailleur ... à Londres 1761.' It does not appear to have been printed, though an exactly similar catalogue of Lord Bessborough's gems was printed in the same year. The scribe's note is on f. 1, 'Gabriel des Champs, du Mecklembourg, scripsit'. A volume of 101 engravings (by Claude du Bosc from drawings by -Gosmond) from gems in this collection was privately printed about 1730 (B.M. press-mark C. 20. c. 2). Paper; ff. 46. 111/4 in. x 9 in. A. D. 1761. Crimson morocco binding, tooled.
