The collection, mainly geological, includes shorter sections of botany (f. 174), Zoology (f. 179), materia medica (f. 211), and works of art (f. 212). Prefixed (f. 1) is a dedicatory letter to George III, dated Hanover, 7 Jan. 1779, signed by the Hanoverian ministers Al[brecht Friedrich' von] Lenthe, [Detlef Alexander] Wenckstern, [Bendix] Bremer, [Ludwig Eberhard] von Gemmingen and [Ernst August Wilhelm] von dem Busche, . and by [Georg] Brandes [Secretary of the Chancery].
