(2) Correspondence, including royal letters and receipts in Malay (ff. 6r-13r, 15r-17r) and Tamil (f.14r), between Light and Raja Abdullah Mukarram Syah ibni Mu'azzam Shah, Sultan of Kedah (r.1778-1797), from whom the island was ceded; 1790-1794, n.d. ff. 6-17b.
