HENRY PAPERS. Vol. II. Sermons of a divine apparently residing in south Staffordshire or north Warwickshire, perhaps Richard Witton of West Bromwich, whose wife, Hannah, was the youngest child of Sarah Savage, Philip Henry's eldest daughter (see note on f. 1). Partly written in Thomas Shelton's system of shorthand (cf. Tachygraphy, 1641), which has been transcribed by interlinear glosses on ff. 2b-8b. The sermons were first preached during the winter of 1719-1720 and notes are supplied as to where they were delivered. Paper; ff. 138. Octavo. 1719-1720.
