HENRY PAPERS. Vol. V. Miscellaneous letters and papers relating to Philip Henry and his descendants; 1660-1863. Included are:-(a) seven letters of Philip Henry to Sir Henry Ashurst (ff. 4-23 passim), of which the first six are printed in The Life of the Rev. Philip Henry by the Rev. Matthew Henry, edited by J. B. Williams, 1825, pp. 163-186 passim;-(b) fragments of his sermons (ff. 25-36b) and those of his son, Matthew (ff. 37-92b);-
(c) papers and correspondence of Peter Bunnell and other members of the Bunnell family, descendants of Philip Henry by his daughter Sarah Savage (ff. 97-149). Some items (ff. 97, 98, 120, together with Add. MS. 45537, ff. 3-9) were acquired by Peter Bunnell at the sale of Sir John Bickerton Williams's manuscripts (Sotheby's sale, 5 March 1853, lots 40*, 121, 11, 65).
