C. 16 [i.e. Harley MSS. 1197-1584], compiled by Wanley, 26 Nov. 1711-12 Dec. 1712 (see ff. 1, 400). Autograph (but the descriptions of Harley 1488-1497 on ff. 258-259b are by Charles Morton). The description of MS. 67. C. 11 (the Pierrepont Chartulary) is deleted as the manuscript was removed from the library and sent to Welbeck (to which it still belongs) 'by Lady Oxford's Order May 18. 1749' (see f. 65 and also f. 357b).
