Vol. VII (ff. 331). 'Brevioris Catalogi Codd. MSS.rum Bibliothecae Harleianae. Volumen VII', viz.: MSS. 98. B. 1-100. D. 10 [i.e. Harley MSS. 2185-2407]. An inscription in Wanley's hand on f. 1 records that the work was begun 30 Sept. 1724; and the volume is in Wanley's autograph down to the foot of f. 330 (MS. 100. D. 10, art. 13). Wanley died 6 July 1726 and the work was continued subsequently by David Casley (see f. 330b), who completed the entry for MS. 100. D. 10, by describing artt. 14-36. According to the 'Advertisement' in Add. MS. 4571O, ff. 290-292, in the hand of Charles Morton (Under-Librarian of the Museum from 1756) Casley took up this work about 1733.
