ORDINANCES, etc., for the Portuguese colonies in Africa and Asia, consisting of copies of orders, grants, appointments, etc., in Portuguese. Among them are:-
1. "Foral dos uzos e custumes dos canaris lauradores desta llha de Goa e destas suas aneixas," f. 3.
2. "Regimento pera a Casa da Relação do estado da India e para outros ofiçiais," 16 Feb. 1587. Copy of a royal decree for the internal government of the Indies, principally respecting Goa. ff. 8-18.
3. Orders of Dom Duarte de Menezes and Dom Francisco Mascarenhas [Governors of the Portuguese Indies], to the captains of the forts and cities in Mozambique, Sofala, Ormuz, Diu, Goa, Malaca, Cochim, Ceilão, and nearly all the other settlements, ff. 19, 166, 171.
4. "Receita do Remdimento do estado da India:" an account of the revenue classified under the different colonies, f. 75.
5. Lists of officials, etc., of the Indies, with the amounts of their salaries, and accounts of other payments, f. 79.
