Two original letters from Jeremy Taylor [afterwards Bishop of Down and Connor and of Dromore] to Christopher Hatton, [afterwards 2nd Lord and lst Viscount Hatton]; n.d. [circa 1643- 1645]. At f. 5 is a letter on alienation of church lands, dated 7 Dec. 1648, headed, "This letter was writte to the Lord Hatton by Dr. Jeremy Taylor and was transcribed by Dr. Moode;" the original, however, in the Bodleian Library, Tanner MSS. 58, f. 468, from which it was printed in "The Whole Works" of J. Taylor, ed. 1854, vol. i. p. cclxii., is addressed to Dr. Richard Baylie. Paper; xviith cent. Large Octavo.
