Annotations in the volume indicate that this MS was copied from Add MS 29378 while that was in the possession of John William Windsor (sometime between c. 1802 and 1804). In 1804 this copy was in the possession of the Bath Catch Club. It subsequently belonged to the Reverend Thomas Broadhurst and, from 1827, to James William Windsor. It was acquired by the British Museum from Julian Marshall in 1880/1881.
