At the end is this inscription: " Iste liber est nobilissime ac illustrissime domine. domine Brunisandi de Petragora. domine de Pertiniaco et de Mathefelomo. quem fecit fieri ad Voluentum [Vouvant, in Poitou]. ad laudem et honorem dei et gloriose uirginis Marie. Anno domini Mo.CCCCo. vndecimo. Oro Christum quem assidue implorat. Ut eam in libro uite ascripbat." Brunissende, daughter of Archambaud IV., Comte de Périgord, was married to Jean L'Archevêque III., Sire de Parthenay, Mathéfelon, Vouvant, etc. Vellum; ff. 188. With illuminated initials and scrolls, which have suffered much by the excessive cutting of the margins. Bound in. blue velvet with gilt bosses filled with enamel, and clasps bearing the name and date " W. Burges, MDCCCLXXIII." Small Quarto
