"The ordinances, statutes, and rules made and inacted by John [Tiptoft], Earle of Worcestre, constable of England, by the kinges; [Edward IV.] comandement, at Windsore, the xxixth day of May, in the vi yeare of his noble reigne [1466], to be obserued and kepte in all maner of Justes of peace royall," etc. With illustrative drawings in pen and ink. See Harington's Nugæ Antiquee, ed. T. Park, 1804, vol. i. p. 1. f. 2 b.
2. Declaration and rules for the assault and defence of a " Castle called Loyall," which having been given by the king to four maidens of his court " to dispose according to their pleasures, they have most liberally given the guard and custody of the same vnto a Captaine and with him xv. gent. of whome I (the speaker) am the Officer of the armes," etc. ; temp.
