(Gr. xxxi.) " A TREATISE of Doctor Nicholas Harpesfeilds concerning Marriage, occasioned by the pretenced (sic) Diuourse betweene King Henry the eight and Queene Katherine." The work, written by Nicholas Harpsfield, Archdeacon of Canterbury, in the reign of Queen Mary, was edited by the Rev. Nicholas Pocock for the Camden Society in 1878. He describes the present copy (p. iii.) as being the least valuable of the four which he collated. At the end is the note: " This coppie was taken from the originall which was found by Mr. Topliffe in the house of Williams [sc. William Carter] sometymes seruant to the said Doctor Nicholas Harpesfeild, who confessed that two leaues of the said originall were of his said Masters owne handwriting." Paper; ff. 314.
