(Gr. ix.) "AN ELEGIACALL POEM vpon the euer admired life and neuer suffciently deplored death of Thomas lord Gray, Baron of Wilton, deceased," i.e. Thomas Grey, Lord Grey de Wilton, died in the Tower, 9 July, 1614. With a prefatory epistle in probe, unaddressed, but signed by Robert Marston. The first titlepage is " Tam Martis quam Artis Nenia: or The Soldiers Sorrow and Learninges losse." Printed from this MS. for the Roxburghe Club, London, 1822. Though the fact is not noticed in the printed edition, the MS. is imperfect, two leaves being lost after f. 31. It ends, moreover, with the line " proves to the Maister oft the surest freind," whereas the copy of the poem, in the same hand, in Add. 34,062 (q. v.) contains 188 lines more. Paper; ff. 34. xviith cent. Small Quarto.
