B. 1. Letter from P[eter Mew, Bishop of] Winchester, to Dr. Samuel Woodford, Prebendary of Winchester, relative to the " Assizes sermon; " Farnham, 4 July, 1692. At the foot is a note by Dr. Woodford. f. 27.
2. Two letters from Elizabeth, wife of Sir Samuel Dukinfield, Bart., to Mrs. Ann Woodford; London, 5 Dec. 1760, 10 Dec. 1762. The first contains a notice of the death of George II. and of the accession of George III.; the second refers to the "young prince," afterwards George IV. (b. 12 Aug. 1762), and to political affairs. ff. 29, 31.
3. Letter from [Francis North, 1st Earl of] Guilford, to Heighes Woodford; 11 Dec. 1779. f. 33.
4. Two letters from A[nne, wife of Matthew, 2nd Baron] Forteseue, to Mrs. Woodford; [London], 9 Sept. [1761], 26 Nov. n. d. The first letter gives an account of the marriage of George III. [8 Sept.], describing the Queen as " a pretty little woman, but no beauty." ff. 35, 37.
