Four Cantatas for solo voices and 4-part chorus, with symphonies and accompaniments for flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, horns, trumpets, drums, strings (except in no. 3), and other instruments mentioned below, in score; by J. N. Hummel. Autograph.
1. 'Chantons, célébrons la journée'; performed at the French Embassy at Vienna in honour of the marriage of Napoleon and Marie Louise of Austria [1810]; with a pianoforte or harp part in one of the numbers. Op. 37. Followed (at f. 85) by a pianoforte part. f. 1.
2. 'Vernahmest du gleich uns, o Orpheus'; in memory of J. Haydn. '[1]813.' {'Triumph... der Mensch hat überwunden' and the following sections are misplaced. They belong to item 4 (cf. f. 215). ff. 133-167b.} f. 116-132. {Imperfect at the end.}
3. 'Kehrt der frohe Tag uns wieder'; with cymbals, etc. In honour of Goethe's birthday.' 1827.' Unfinished. f. 168.
4. 'Wie schön, wie wonnig, strahlt, O Tag, dein Glanz'; with trombones, etc. Written in honour of the birthday of [Karl August] hereditary Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar. '25 Febar 1827.' One of the numbers (at f. 237) is borrowed from the cantata 'Diana ed Endimione' (see Add MS 32191, f. 1). f. 192.
