Articles 4 and 5 are heavily annotated in possibly the same 16th cent. hand (see ff. 50, 56). Verse fragment, same hand as text, Beg. 'Hy wot atimes ales wille', lower margin, f. 52v. Copy of an indenture, 1416, in a 15th cent. hand, f. 102v (art. 6). Provenance: (a) Art. 6. 'Iste liber constat Geraldi Aylmer'; 16th cent. f. 102v;- (b) Art. 7. The name 'Aylofe' written, 16th cent., f. 124v. Possibly William Ayloffe, judge, (d.1585), direct ancestor of Sir Joseph Ayloffe, Bart., antiquary. John Topham, whose hand appears (f. 1), worked with Sir Joseph Ayloffe at the State Paper Office. Topham sale, lot 706.
