(f. 3) 'Haviendo dado quenta al Rey mi Señor el Senado de Milan de haverle participado la Ciudad de Como, que en Roma se trata de segregar de aquel obispado la Valtelina', expl. (f. 546v) 'In ecclesia Japponensi, ultimus episcopus fuit Dominus Didacus valente, ex ordine S. Ignatii assumptus obiit in Machao. Cinæ anno 1634 authentica signatura'. Among other papers the MS. includes: - (a) ff. 3-214, papers relating to religious upheaval in Rhaetia, the Grisons and the Valtelline, sent to Cardinal Savo Millini as papal nuncio at Madrid and Cardinal Aloysius Capponi, Archbishop of Ravenna; 1642-1680. Authors of the letters are Cardinals Alderano Cibo, Paluzzo Altieri, Francesco Barberini, and Fray Alessandro de Gravedona.
