Collection of Epitaphs and Inscriptions. Book. vii; 1658. Inc. (f. 2) 'La Chiesa della Santissima Trinità della Nazione inglese'. Tables of contents (f. 1). A list of English people with the date of their death on f. 14 (a later addition), relating to the Church of the Holy Trinity, or English Church. Payment receipts (ff. 1, 211v) by Giorgio Ridolfo Ebmer, respectively dated 10 and 17 Feb. 1658. A note (f. 212) offering the MS. to an anonymous reader and mentioning the Roman humanist Battista Casali (1473-1525): possibly in the hand of Gaspare Alveri. Ownership note (f. 1) of Cardinal Cesare Rasponi. Old shelfmark in ink 'H.III.52' (smudged) on paper slip (from lost original flyleaf) pasted onto upper left corner of front pastedown, with '598' added above in pencil. '157' and '598' in pencil in top margin of f. 1, and '2' in pencil at centre of same leaf.
Paper; ff. 212, plus one unfoliated interleaved blank after ff. 13, 212; lacking one leaf after f. 112; ff. 14 and 212 added later. Old foliation in ink, altering a previous one, '1-212' (ff. 2-211), with nos. 139 and 140 on the same leaf, omitting no. 177, and missing leaf '111'. 270 x 200mm.
