Missal, according to the use of the Augustinian Canons Regular, with special insertions for the church of St. Thomas the Martyr, Dublin. Lat. Imperfect. It begins with the office for the ordination of an abbat, which ends with the litany. The Ordinary of the Mass is wanting, except the Prefaces, etc., and several Propria have been added by later hand. Vellum; early xivth cent., with additions of the xvth cent. At the beginning and end are three fly-leaves of a hymnal with music. On f. 54 b is the inscription, "Jacobus Cottrell abas [1526] sancti thome me possidet." Folio.

Description of music from Augustus Hughes-Hughes, Catalogue of Manuscript Music:
ff. 1, 132, 133. 14th-15th cent. Fly-leaves from an Augustinian Missal, which apparently belonged to the Abbey of St. Thomas the Martyr at Dublin. Fragments of what appear to be motets, arranged in alphabetical order, written in long lines with illuminated initials on a 5-line stave.
1. ‘R[—]‘ (St. Katharine). Apparently two parts, f. 132.
2, 3. ‘Rosa mundi‘ and the beginning of another, ‘Regis aula.’ f. 132b.
4. ‘Surge; jam est hora.’ f. 133.
5-7. ‘Trinitatem ueneremur,’ ‘Trinitatis uox,’ and ‘Te, Domina regina.’ f. 133b.
8,9. ‘Trinitas et deitas’ and ‘Te, domina Maria.’ f. 1.
10. ‘Triumphat hodie Christi miles’ (St. Laurence), f. 1b.
The first fly-leaf, f. 1b, also contains a secular composition:
f. 1b. 'Trop est fol ky me bayle sa femme.' Only one part. [Later note: this is another part of the motet 'Triumphant hodie. See Add MS 24198.]
