LETER BOOK of Roger [Boyle] Lord Broghill [afterwards Earl of Orrery], Governor of Youghal; containing copies of letters to the King, the Parliament, and others; with documents relating to Irish affairs during, the progress of the civil war; 1644-1649. At f. 39 b are copies of correspondence between the towns of Cork and Youghal and Oliver Cromwell; Nov. 1649. On f. 1 are the following notes:-
"This booke was delivered to me at Dublin by Mr. Josua Boyle [Recorder of Youghal] December 1st 1655. H. J." "I bought this book and another Manuscript Copy of Letters of the same subjectes, out of ye Library of ye late Duke of Chandos. H St J" [Henry St. John]. Paper; xviith cent. Folio.
