MISCELLANEOUS papers relating, to the families of Johnson and Lovelace; being bonds, accounts, inventories, etc., from 36 Hen. VIII. [1544] to 1718. Among them are the following: 1. Copy of the will of Margaret, Lady Lovelace [widow of Richard, 1st Lord Lovelace of Hurley]; 1 Jan. 1651[2], f. 2.
2. Order of the Deputy-Lieutenants of the Tower Hamlets to call out the militia of the district, under command of Sir Henry Johnson; 6 Aug. 1688; signed by Sir John Freind, Thomas Cass, and John Byfeld, f. 116.
3. Order for a company of the Tower Hamlets Regiments to do duty at the Tower; 17 Dec. 1688; signed by [Robert] Lord Lucas, the Governor, f. 118.
4. Warrant of Lord Lucas to Sir Henry Johnson to search the stables in the Tower Hamlets for horses of disaffected persons; 5 June, 1690; with signature and seal, f. 127.
