1. A treatise upon the passion of our Saviour. fol. Beginning, "A worschipful lady hauynge a symple spirit ful of heuenly desires." End, "this grace vs graunte that with his blood vs bouzt, Crist Jhesu Goddes sone. Amen. " 2. A treatise upon a Christian's warfare, in which the armour of a knight is moralized and applied to the duties of religion; appended are discourses upon the Incarnation of Christ, the Sacrament of the Altar, and the Trinity. fol. 20. Beginning, "Induite vos armatura Dei, etc. Thes beth the wordys of Seynt Paule the apostel, that beth nedeful to every crysten man to ynderstande." End, "selvacion and helpe to me to lyte and to soule and to alle men and wymmen, enemyes and frendes." 3. An epistle "mead of Richard Hampul, as somme men supposen." fol. 82. Beginning, "To T. D. his derworthe brother in Crist, his evenbrother in the Lord desireth this that T. D. do away now the elde man." 4. A second letter ascribed to the same author. fol. 92. Beginning, "A privy worde to me is to thee, thou lord of vertues, kyng of kyngis." It is probable that these letters are not rightly attributed to Hempole, as they are not found in any list of his works. At the end is the following note; "The latyn book by whiche y translatide was ful fals in the lettre and poyntinge also, and therefore I had the more travel to come to the open and trewe sentence." 5. "Of the grete comford that man schuld have in tribulacion," being a translation by Richard Hampole from the "Duodecim utiltates Tribulationis " of Petrus Blesensis. fol. 100.
6. "Here bygynneth a tretis that is cleput the lyte of soule, secundum doctores." fol. 11 5. Beginning, "Dere fader, as seynt Paule seith we have here no cytee that is dwellynge." End, "And so the Iyue of oure soule and the rtzt wey to heucne is to kepe this twey hestis of loue to God and to oure euene Cristen." 7. Devout contemplations before Matyns, Prime, Vnder, Mydday, None, Euensonge, Complyn and Night. fol. 129.
8. A treatise in commendation of virginity, founded upon the text "Ecce vingo concipiet et pariet filium." fol. 134. b. Beginning, "Loo,seith the holy profete Ysay, a mayden schal conceyve and bere a child; thouz thes wordes were seyde by oure lady." End, "And therfore wel is that child that wol zefe hem to clennes of lifynge here a schorte tyme to haue there that ioye and worschip world with outen ende." 9. A treatise upon the hymn "Ave maris stella." fol. 149. Beginning, "Amonge alle the Songes that men vsen in holy chirche in the worschip of oure lady on ympne we vsen the wheche begynneth thus." End, "that were meystris, and ben suget to God and to his comaundmentis, and to alle creaturis after Goddis wille." 10. An illumination representing a man in a close blue dress with a fur cap on his head, and holding a roll of paper in his hand; round this figure are some lines intended as a prophecy, with the date of 1573, about which time they seem to have been written. fol. 160. b.
11. A treatise upon Affection, Reason, Imagination, Sensuality, and other qualities typically represented by Jacob, Leah, Rachel, and Jacob's twelve sons, taken from the treatise by Hugo de S. Victore, intitled "Benjamin." [imperf.] fol. 161.
12. An exposition of the ten commandments. fol. 179. Beginning, "Alle Maner of men schuld hold Goddys hestis." End, "heven blisse schal he zour heritage, as Crist seith . . . . "
