Paper, oblong 4to., ff. 118, end of xvi. Cent., the arms of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, are tricked on the first page; the volume belonged to James Hadley in 1663, and to John Newman in 1668. Nautical Tables, apparently compiled by Thomas Jarvis, whose name occurs at folio 98; the contents are as follow: 1. Tables shewing what moon makes a full sea in several places of England, Ireland, France, Holland, etc., and what tide runs under other. fol. 1.
2. Tables shewing the distances and courses between various places in England, France, Norway, etc. fol. 3.
3. Tables of soundings off Scilly, Ushant, the Penns, the Seames, Bellisle, the Glennetts, Use, the Channel, the Sound and the Scaw. fol. 6. b.
4. Instructions for entering the principal harbours and passing through the more difficult straits in the English seas, with a few rude sketches of the coast. fol. 18.
5. Sketches of the coast extending from Beachy Head to Pittenweem, by the east. fol. 26.
6. Drawings and instructions relative to the navigation of the principal harbours in France, Sweden, etc., with rough charts of the coast. fol. 50. b.
