A decree of a Council assembled at Bologna in the year 857 by Emperor Louis (Ludovicus) II. Primarily a list of names of cities in Lombardy confirming privileges to Ludovicus e.g. fodrum regale and annona militaris; in return, he confirms the freedom and immunity of Bologna. Dated ii. Id. Feb. DCCCLVII.

- Lead plate, very much cracked. The edge has been mutilated, and the left-hand upper corner is wanting; bearing a Latin inscription, contained in twenty-one lines, with a character corresponding to that of the previous inscriptions. One short horizontal line as a header followed by 17 lines. Below, (left) two lines, a gap, then two more lines; (right) the seal of Emperor Louis II.
