1. ff. 1-78v. Letters to Burton, mostly from Coghill, but with a letter from Vaughan Williams (f. 52), and letters from various members of the staff of the Royal Opera House. With costume drawings by Coghill for the characters of Superstition (f. 22), Pickthank (f. 23), Watchfull (f. 40), and Apollyon (f. 54). Typewritten lists of scenery and characters (ff. 27-30), stage properties (ff. 41-42) and of members of the cast (ff. 45-48, 63-67) are also included.
2. ff. 79-92. Stage plans, entered on printed forms, showing the disposition of scenery and lighting.
3. ff. 95-220. Newspaper cuttings. With cuttings relating to earlier theatrical enterprises of Coghill and Burton, 1945, 1949 (ff. 217-220), and to a production of 'The Pilgrim's Progress' in Cambridge, 1954 (f. 216).
