Folio manuscript containing theological texts written or collected by 'F.S.', a Catholic living in Ireland at the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century. It has been suggested that these are the collected works of John White, a teacher at the Roman Catholic College at Douay.
Some of the texts have a monogram on the opening page.

- ff. 1-5: Of the mystery of this life: and of the good of death. A.D. 1603.
- ff. 6-6v: Of the holy Catholic Church of Christ.
- ff. 7-10v: A sermon of Master John Thauler; made unto the people wherein he most bitterly reproves of sin.
- ff. 11-16v: Another sermon made by Master John Thauler unto the common people.
- ff. 17-22v: Another sermon; perhaps also by John Thauler.
- ff. 23-29: Out of the book of Stanislaus Hosius Bishop of Warmia, and President of the late Council of Trent, of the defence of Catholic doctrine: written against Brentius, a heretic.
- ff. 30-35: A platform for a true Christian to build a beautiful house to God: collected out of the four evangelists.
- f. 36: A poem on the same subject.
- ff. 38-43v: Of contenancy and sole life. A.D. 1605.
- ff. 44-46v: Upon ‘This is my body’, Andrea Althemero author.
- ff. 47-49v: Of the Catholic Church.
- ff. 50-59v: Of traditions.
- ff. 51-53v: The pre-eminence of Peter; and the admonitions to beware the false seducers. Exhorting to stand fast to the faith which has been taught from the beginning: out of the New Testament.
- ff. 55-65v: Of the sacrament of the body and blood of Christ.
- ff. 66-67v: Notes on the Gospel of St Matthew; with remarks upon them.
- ff. 68-80v: Notes out of the four evangelists; especially concerning the good life, and holy conversation of a Christian. A.D. 1607, by F.S. aged 87.
- ff. 81-86v: A brief collection out of the epistles of the apostles; teaching how a Christian ought to live in this life. A.D. 1604.
- ff. 87-91: Similar notes, out of the evangelists.
- ff. 92-98: Notes out of the book of Stanislaus Hosius, Bishop of Warmia, titled ‘Of the true Christian and Catholic doctrine, against Brentius the heretic’.
- ff. 99-104v: Certain brief collections out of the works of Stanislaus Hosius, Bishop of Warmia, and President of the late Council of Trent. A.D. 1608.
- f. 105: Certain heresies ascribed to Martin Luther in a book titled ‘Catalogus Heretiorum’.
- f. 105v: Forty-one articles of Luther, which he affirmed.
- ff. 106-115v: Extract out of a book written by the Reverend Father John Fisher, Bishop of Rochester, and Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, titled ‘Affertionis Lutheranæ Confutatio’.
- ff. 117-118v: The censure of Chrisostom of the theatre plays.
- ff. 119-123: Notes taken out of Timothy and Titus.
- ff. 124-128: Paraphrase upon the Psalm Miserere mei Deus.
- ff. 129-131v: An admonition to children to honour their parents. A.D. 1607.
- ff. 132-135: Of the honour due to our Heavenly Father.
- ff. 136-138v: The places of scripture which the fanatical heretics, to disprove the words of Christ 'This is my Body', do use, disproved.
- ff. 139-150v: Certain notes collected out of a book titled ‘The Parliament of Christ’, collected and set forth by Thomas Hoskins, Doctor of Divinity, A.D. 1560, declaring the enacted and received truth of the presence of his body and blood in the Blessed Sacrament; impugned in a wicked sermon by Master Juell.

This manuscript was formerly owned by Colonel Henry Worsley.
The Harley Collection, formed by Robert Harley (1661-1724), 1st earl of Oxford and Mortimer, politician, and Edward Harley (1689-1741), 2nd earl of Oxford and Mortimer, book collector and patron of the arts.
Edward Harley bequeathed the library to his widow, Henrietta Cavendish, née Holles (1694-1755) during her lifetime and thereafter to their daughter, Margaret Cavendish Bentinck (1715-1785), duchess of Portland; the manuscripts were sold by the Countess and the Duchess in 1753 to the nation for £10,000 under the Act of Parliament that also established the British Museum; the Harley manuscripts form one of the foundation collections of the British Library.
